You can get free satellite dish equipment- IF you want to subscribe to a television service plan. This should be no mystery. This deal has been around for years, but I'm sure there are some who still are not aware of these offers.
Basically a satellite company like Directv or Dish Networks will offer a monthly plan (sometimes cheaper than cable) and an installer will set you up with installation and free equipment as long as you subscribe.
